Blizzard Bag Assignment 2
Introduction: A cladogram is a diagram that depicts evolutionary relationships among groups. It is based on phylogeny, which is the study of evolutionary relationships. It is almost a guarantee that there will be one or two questions about cladograms on the AP exam.
You should begin by reviewing chapter 25 on phylogeny and systematic, paying particular attention to how cladograms are drawn to show the evolutionary relationships. Please watch the Bozeman Science video on cladograms here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouZ9zEkxGWg Build a character table researching each of the organisms below. Finally construct a cladogram on a sheet of paper and pass the assignment in when you return to school.
Traits you may want to consider to evaluate in your character table: Cells, nuclei, multicellular, bilateral symmetry, breaths air, and has hair. You can choose your own traits to assess as well.
